Artistic Cut Outs

Hi Everyone, it's been a while I've posted anything, i'm really bad at keeping up to date with the blog been taking time off to finally be able to think again after three years of creative thinking!

Any...how.... :) finally felt the motivation to start updating my blog within a certain length of time (we know that's not going to happen). Haha.

Here are a few more inspirations for today, hope you enjoy :).

The website above has a collection of different ways paper cuts are shown, from 2D to 3D, similar to children's pop up books we read as children and fascinated by each turn of the page what will be shown next with no end to the excitement and happiness it brought.

From the Picture above, we can see the detailed cut outs in the form of specific historical monumental buildings that some would recognise, whether it's the form or shape of the building or small distinct details shown, what we can see from the paper cut out's or for me, i feel a sense of nostalgia when i first saw the picture. It felt like i was being taken back in time to when i was learning about the different religions in school with the feeling of being intrigued and fascination on wanting to know more.

Should give the website a flick through and you won't be disappointed by the amazing work there :).

The beginning...

Hi Everyone :) my name is My Van Tran.
I am an artist who creates abstract paintings and paper cut outs.
This is my first time creating a blog so everything on this blog page can be quite confusing at first, but i'm trying to keep everything organised and hopefully (fingers crossed) easy to understand. I shall be using this blog to document my journey of inspirations...

The website is still a work in progress as i haven't put everything up yet, but hope you enjoy :D x
